Bass Master’s Tournament!
The three or four fishing tournaments held each summer support the Yankee Lake fish stocking program. A fee is paid for each boat in the contest. The total taken in from fees for a given contest is divided in half. One half goes toward the cash prizes; the other half to support fish stocking.
John Cuneo won this year’s Bass Master’s Tournament, with two largemouth bass with a combined weight of 6 1/4 pounds. Second place went to Tom Fusco and Lou Gramegna, their two largest fish totaled 6 1/2 pounds. Third place went to Todd Belini, who had taken first place in all three tournaments in 2008. The combined weight of his two largemouth bass was 6 1/4 pounds.
